The school pro- vides professional training in teaching, communal service and related com- petencies. Faculty ofers instruction in both undergraduate and graduate departments, with a strong emphasis on individual work and the free inter- change of research under preceptorial and seminar modes. The student is expected to immerse himself in the "sea of Jewish learning" and be creative in his scholarship. The length of a student's daily and weekly programs are structured toward this end.
